36 weeks of belly love

How Far Along:  36 weeks - one more week until I'm full term!!!

Size of baby:  The size of a coconut, Madelyn weighs about 6.5 according to the ultrasound we had at our 36 week appointment.  This could be off by plus or minus one to two pounds.  She is about 18.7 inches (crown to heel).

Gender:  It's a BABY GIRL - Madelyn Ella!

Maternity Clothes:  Nothing but...although those are all pretty tight on me now and I wish I could just wear yoga pants and flip flops everywhere...

Movement:  Plenty of movement going on, she is breech with her butt down and legs folded into a v.  She always moves towards the top of my belly and I can see/feel it all the time.

Sleep:  My body is sleep training me.  I do sleep all night but it is never too much of a deep sleep as I toss from one side to the other.  My hips and legs fall asleep and ache all night long.  I've had some heart burn at night.

Symptoms:   Swelling has gone down some, my blood pressure has lowered and things are going good.  Last week when I told Dr. Kim where I was feeling movement most (the top of my belly) she did a quick scan with the ultrasound and found that our baby girl is heads up.  I went in for this weeks appointment and had an ultrasound with the tech and discovered she is still breech, frank breech to be exact.  Her butt is far far down and her legs are straight up, she is in the shape of a v.  I had the option of getting a version, where they try to manipulate the baby from the outside to flip and opted out of it.  Dr. Kim said that with how far down she is and the amount of fluid I have she will most likely not flip and the version will not work.  From there, we scheduled a c-section for week 39.  I am currently scheduled for a c-sec on 4/24 at Condell Hospital in LIbertyville.  This was also a loop we were thrown for as we initially chose Highland Park as our hospital and had toured there.  We did go to a class at Condell last night and I feel reassured after being there.

Dilation:  I was one centimeter dilated at my 37 week appointment this week and told that due to her position to call them if I have contractions, leaking or bleeding.  I would assume that I would have an emergency c-section if this happens as it means Madelyn is wanting to make her 'debut' prior to her scheduled c-section.

What I miss:  No stretch marks on my belly and my pre preggo weight/body.  Not much else...I've let up on being so tight about lunch meat this past week, I had Jimmy Johns twice...haha.  It was SO good!

Cravings:   S'mores...

What I am looking forward to:  Meeting our little baby girl!  It is so hard to believe that she will be here in about 2 and a half weeks!  I LOVE knowing the date she will be here, however am a little apprehensive about getting cut into.  I know I get to pass all the horrendous things such as pushing a baby out of my nether regions and urinary incontinence and what not but it just freaks me out a tad with the whole c-section thing and being awake as well as the recovery/soreness afterwards.
