How Far Along: 20 weeks
Size of baby: The size of a cantaloupe, about 6.5 inches and 10.6 ounces
Gender: The 20 week ultrasound is only 2 DAYS AWAY!!! I can hardly wait! I feel like according to the Old Wives Tales, I am having a girl. I am def gaining my weight everywhere and not just in the belly, I love sweets, she's 'stealing my beauty' so they say :-)
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes, can wear regular shirts/sweaters if they are a little bit longer and not too short. Also comfies (pj's/loungwear).
Movement: So very exciting but last night and today were the first real times that I felt something and knew for sure that it was the little peanut inside of me! Last night I went up to bed to read and I was laying there, listening to the prenatal listener while reading, I felt a little tiny thud and heard it on the listener. Then, today while sitting at my desk I was typing and knew I was feeling something so I paused and just sat still. There was a constant bump into my pelvis/bladder that would happen every couple seconds a few times. According to my readings, it was either hiccups or kicks! Soooo exciting I am SO happy that I am starting to feel this! I have waited for this and have been getting impatient thinking it was never going to happen.
Sleep: I actually had a full night sleep without waking up last Thursday night, it was good! Although none since then. My stomach/lower back ache while I'm sleeping. Dreams came back last night like crazy. Had a dream last night that I was at the hospital and found out that I was going to die during childbirth or sometime after, it was so sad. Just usually waking up to pee about once per night though.
Symptoms: Heartburn, dry/red patches on my face, bloody/dry nose, achey lower back, a little weepiness this past week, some pains down there randomly. A little puffiness in my legs some days, I feel swollen sometimes.
What I miss: Not much, just certain foods, my skinnier legs (ha!).
Cravings: Reese's pieces yesterday, which resulted in a fight between me and Ryan. I didn't end up getting them though. Sweets for sure. Pringles and other random things.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out if our little peanut is a boy or a girl and that he/she is healthy. Being able to 'plan' out the nursery a little more and getting our crib/dresser next month! Yay!
